Jack and Judy were our closet friends with me and my wife Joan. We grew up with them at First Christian Church in Englewood, Colorado. Jack and I played doubles together in tennis in high school and in 1952 we were No 1 in Denver and No. 2 in Colorado. We played in many tournaments together until 1980 when Jack moved to Idaho. We would call one another when he taught school and I had my own business and plan to play that afternoon many many times. We played if the temperature was at least 40 degrees. I never left home with out a squeegee so that we could clean off a court with snow on it.
I think since 1980 I only saw Jack once when came to Denver and he beat me once again in tennis. Recently I was just given his e mail and was looking forward to playing him again, I was really saddened to hear of his home going. He will be missed and it is so good to see his family that I never knew
